180 mm square filter - Soft GND8
The Rollei F:X Pro Soft GND Square Filter are Graduated Gray Filter with asoftly ending course. GND stands for Graduated Neutral Density. With the help of this filter, you can easily compensate for differences in brightness in your image.
Our Soft GND8 has a size of150 x 170 millimeters (150 mm rectangular filter system) and a density of 0.9 and 3 stops. A stop means that the amount of light falling on the sensor is reduced by one f-stop at a time.
Soft GNDs can be used for these motifs:
- Rugged mountain landscapes
- forest areas
- Subjects without a clearly defined horizon
Soft GND square filter is used (unlike normal ND filters) for subjects in which the brightness conditions a soft gradient and therefore need a gentle (soft) transition for an evenly exposed image. Ideal place of use Soft GND For example, would be a mountain landscape where lighting conditions cause the foreground of the image to appear darker than the background, but the horizon line is not particularly well defined.
