The one made of high quality aluminum precisely milled Ball tripod head is, of course, also available individually and, due to its low weight of 332 g and compact dimensions, is ideal for taking with you in your luggage.
Precise alignment and fast portrait format switching
Of the Rollei T3S Mark III tripod head has all the features you need for professional recordings: The ball head can be swiveled smoothly without loosening the fixation of the ball. Align the head quickly and easily and then lock it with the sturdy rotary knob. With the new design and two savings is also a faster and easier Change in portrait format done quickly. Two high quality spirit levels (vials) support you with the desired alignment. Sehr gut!
Gleich die beste Nachricht zuerst: Wenn der Kugelkopf fixiert wird, verschiebt er sich nicht mehr. Dies was bei der Mark II-Version anders. Obwohl die Friktion straff eingestellt war, hat sich die Ausrichtung jedes Mal etwas verändert. Dies habe ich beim hier bewerteten Kugelkopf Rollei T3S Mark III bisher nicht bemerkt. Da der Kugelkopf etwas niedriger als sein Vorgänger ist, verringert sich auch das Packmaß vom Stativ mit Kopf. Er ist ausreichend stabil, um eine ausgewachsene Kleinbildkamera mit einem 100-500mm-Teleobjektiv seitlich zu halten.
Vier Kleinigkeiten wünsche ich mir noch:
- Der Friktionseinstellknopf und die Fixierungsschraube für die Panoramaebene liegen etwas dicht bei einander.
- Die Fixierschraube ließe sich noch besser mit einem Zylinder oder einer Flügelschraube als mit dem vorhandenen konischen Drehknopf bedienen.
- Die Fixierschreibe schleift am Gehäuse, welches die Kugel umschließt.
- Satt einer simplen Schnellkuplung (QR-quick release) wünsche ich mir eine Panorama-Halterung ähnlich wie beim Rollei Kugelkopf T8S Mark III. Wer handwerklich geschickt ist, kann sich solch eine Panorama-Arca-Swiss-Halterung selber nachrüsten (Die haltende Schraube läßt sich lösen).
Über die Langzeitnutzung und sein Verhalten bei Kälte oder extremer Hitze kann ich noch keine Aussage treffen.
Unter dem Strich ist dieser Stativkopf leicht, kompakt, funktionell und wird zu einem angemessenen Preis angeboten.
Deshalb hat er von mir fünf Bewertungssterne verdient.
