Do you have any questions? We have the answer!

How do I connect the LUX Battery Grip 99Wh to a LUX light?

Attach the battery grip with the 1/4" connection to the LUX light. Connect the D-Tap to DC cable to the D-Tap port of the battery grip. Then plug the DC connector into the LUX light and turn it on. And you are ready for creative shots.

Which products is the LUX battery grip compatible with?

The LUX battery grip is primarily designed for use with our LUX lights. To do this, please use the D-Tap to DC cable. You can charge the battery grip with the included USB-C cable. You can also use a Candela light with 60 or 100 watts via the USB-C cable. In addition, you can charge other electronic devices, such as your smartphone, using the USB-C cable. However, never use a D-Tap to USB-C cable to charge your devices. This could result in damage to the devices.

Can I also use the battery grip to charge other electronic devices, such as my smartphone?

Using the USB-C cable, you can charge electronic devices such as your smartphone. However, never use a D-Tap to USB-C cable to charge your devices. This can damage the devices.

How long does the battery of the LUX battery grip last?

The LUX battery grip has an integrated lithium battery with 99 watt hours and 6,600 milliampere hours. With a light of 60 watts power, such as the LUX 60 RGB, this would correspond to a runtime of approximately 100 minutes at full power. With a 100 watt light, like the LUX 100 Bi-Color, the battery life at full power would be about 60 minutes. The actual runtime may vary depending on how the lights are used and whether they are actually constantly operated at full power. Energy efficiency, age of the battery, and ambient temperature can also affect the runtime.

Can I display the remaining battery level of the battery grip?

Yes, the LUX battery grip has a battery level indicator. To check the remaining battery level, press briefly on the battery level indicator button. The four indicator lights represent 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, with the number of lights indicating the respective battery level. When you press the battery level indicator button at low battery level, the right LED blinks to alert you of the low battery level. If you press the battery level indicator button and all four LEDs blink, either the battery is empty or the device has an error.
